- Complete transformations of Government Office for the North East so
that it meets the Business Operating Model and Resource Allocation Model
and delivers the capacity and capability to meet them.
- Ensure the regional civil service programme is implemented to build up
a more coherent and effective civil service in the region.
8. European Closure
Implement a closure and monitoring strategy for the current European
funding programme
9. Resilience
- In the event of a major civil emergency, ensure the regional
response and recovery is smooth and effectively coordinated with the result
that the impact on the region is minimised.
- Ensure that support arrangements are robust across the GO.
10. Government and Partnerships
- Ensure that all levels of partnership working are strong and effective
and the GO is adding value. For example, Public Service Economic Forum,
local resilience forums and crime and disorder drug reduction partnerships.
- Support the delivery of high performing public sector through local
area agreement delivery and comprehensive area assement, encouraging
effective North East Improvement and Efficiency Partnership engagement.
