- Promote an effective regional development agency.
- Improve long term economic growth and reduce worklessness in the region
and in city regions – encourage their leading role through multi area
agreements.

implementation and Regional Strategy (RS) addresses key regional issues.
- Ensure policy on transport, housing and planning supports the regional
economy.
