Diana has overall responsibility for housing and planning policy.
For the past four years she has been Deputy Director/Head of Division taking a personal lead on sustainable communities and coordinating the work of the housing and planning teams, and the Durham area team. She has been active on the Regional Housing Board, and in promoting planning reform, housing market renewal and strategic housing market assessment. She has been on the boards of the Tees Valley Housing Market Renewal Project and Durham Coalfields Renewal Project.
Diana came into the Government Office when it was first created in April 1994 having led teams working on housing, inner city regeneration, planning and environment in the regional office of the Department of Environment and Transport and in Yorkshire and the Humber.
She has held posts of:
- Deputy Director, Planning and Environment
- Director, Strategy and Resources (which included a spell as Director of Resources at the Newcastle Disease Emergency Control Centre)
- Director for Change
Diana is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, and Gateway Reviewer for the Office of Government Commerce.
