Sue joined the Government Office for the North East in 1994 and was seconded to the Home Office as a Drugs Adviser in 2001.
Since 2004 she has supported the Deputy Regional Director for Community Safety in Government Office for the North East.
She is currently responsible for the delivery and performance management of the National Drug Strategy in the North East as well as leading on regional policy and organisational development, with the aim of creating safer, stronger and more inclusive communities across the region.
