Key market areas for North East exporters, such as China and Hong Kong, South Africa, USA, Russia and France will feature alongside key sectors such as healthcare and life sciences and air-funded businesses will come under the microscope at events across the region.
In addition to vital market information, the International Business Month events will also allow companies to find out more about the products and type of assistance on hand from UK Trade & Investment.
David Coppock, International Trade Director for UK Trade & investment in the North East said:
"International Business Month provides an ideal opportunity for both new and experienced exporters to explore the many opportunities available in overseas markets and find out about the support on offer through UK Trade & Investment to help them succeed.
"The events we have put together reflect some of the key business areas for North East exporters and we hope that by attending them new and experienced exporters alike will gain valuable insights as to how to maximise the potential in these areas.
"In the recent past International Business Month has been very successful in the North East with over 500 companies taking part in events last year. We are hoping to exceed that figure this year as we look to build on the region's export successes."
The North East's export performance shows that around five per cent of the region's companies export goods and services worth about £11 billion to the North East's economy.
