As part of International Business Month (June), the Club threw open its doors to extend an open invitation to all to attend its latest meeting focusing on business opportunities in the United States.
Dr Alan Bell, Chairman of the International Networking Club, said:
"The USA seminar held at the Wynyard Rooms, Billingham earlier this week proved a great success. Those attending found the information supplied extremely helpful in their understanding of the market.
"Our members and guests were able to hear about real-life experiences of those already involved in the US market, including myself and fellow members Steve Barker and Joe Telford.
"They also received the latest, up-to-date information from Simon Crosby, International Trade Adviser and Terry Robinson, of Teesside University Business School. Many commented on how unusual it was to have so much, down to earth information on the market given by people so passionate about exporting there.
"Our club is run by the members for the members in a bid to offer the support they need to succeed overseas. It was great to welcome non-members and I hope many of them will be encouraged to join and access the help and support the club offers to those wanting to broaden their horizons and help their business grow."
The next meeting of the North East International Networking Club will offer a seminar on service industries abroad, including training, consultancy and IT, and will be held on Monday, 14 July at 4.30pm at St Aidan's College, University of Durham, Durham.
